Junior Interior Designer
Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of professional experience working in an interior design firm, architecture office, or with an established general contractor. This role is perfect for a designer who is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a flexible, positive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Assist senior designers on all phases of the design process, from concept development through completion, including:
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and material palettes.
- Produce detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and specification schedules.
- Source and coordinate all materials – finishes, furnishings, and fabrics.
- Maintain project documentation, sample bins, and project files.
- Conduct site visits, measure spaces, and support installation phases.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all aspects of design work.
- Collaborate on creative ideas, while also embracing the behind-the-scenes work that keeps projects running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in interior design, architecture, or residential construction.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
